War

Dinos, the sole survivor of a group of saboteurs who were exterminated by the Germans for treason, finds refuge in the house of a crippled girl. She hides him in the basement and, falling in love with him, keeps him prisoner without telling him that the war is over, not wanting to lose him. When Dinos manages to escape from the basement, he faces the bitter reality. His girlfriend doesn't care for him, his friends died in the Occupation, and the one who betrayed the group was a fellow soldier. He decides to return to the basement and the girl who really loved him.

During the years of the German Occupation, Dimitris Korres, commander of a police station, is considered a collaborator of the occupiers but everyone, even his daughter Maria, is wrong as he, code-named "OP 34", is one of the leading members of the Resistance. From his post he helps Greek patriots and saves the lives of prisoners, such as Lieutenant Avgeris, whose plane was shot down in Greek airspace. Avgeris is in love with Maria, who tries to help him flee to the Middle East, but they are captured by the Germans. Avgeris, in order not to be harmed, agrees to cooperate with them.

Soviet intelligence officer Kraft has a new assignment. This time, acting under the name of engineer Grubbe, he must find and transfer to the center the secret drawings of a new submarine codenamed "Walter".

The film tells how, in the last days of the Great Patriotic War, a small group of Soviet soldiers took an unequal battle with the Nazis.

The 22nd of June, 1941. A usual morning in a usual children camp near the very frontier. Children are splashing in a river, and take the landing troops, coming down from the sky, with enthusiasm, thinking that this is a military training. But these are fascists. They drive all children together in a camp, fence them in a barblock and announce that all of them will soon be sent to Germany. The Soviet tank battalion, located nearby, makes an attempt to save the children, but is defeated. Only one tank driven by uncle Vasia survived. Accidentally the survived tankman meets Michael, a boy who was ordered by Germans to burn pioneer neckties. He asks uncle Vasia to help him rescue children from captivity. The tankman agrees. The rescue of young pioneers operation starts on the only one tank with one little assistant.

Towards the end of the war, Eleni meets the rebel Kostas, who is being pursued by the Germans. One night, the rebel arrives wounded at his brother Giannis' house where Eleni works. She'll take care of him, and then they'll say goodbye. When Kostas tries to meet Eleni again, he is arrested by the Germans. But he will escape execution, as the rebels will save him from death.

A film about the people of Saigon told through the experiences of three young American journalists who, in 1970, explored the consequences of war and of the American presence in Vietnam. It is not a film about the Vietnam War, but about the people who lived on the fringe of battle. The views of the city are arresting, but away from the shrines and the open-air markets lies another city, swollen with refugees and war orphans, where every inch of habitable space is coveted. On the anniversary of the death of Commissioner Ibrahim Kovaçi, six of his war friends are accompanying his statue to his native village, where a ceremony will be held. During the road, each of them remembers moments related to the life of Ibrahim.

The film takes place in a small town where the Germans are getting ready to retreat near the end of the war. But a carload of Russian prisoners get people to feed them, then the prisoners overcome their guards and escape. The town people try to save them from the Germans but do not succeed.

The film is anchored by a wartime re-encounter between a servant child and a tutor, transformed in the crucible of the spring 1968 Saigon offensive.

In 1913, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, the Government gives some lands to a foreign railway company, giving rise to revolt by the former owners of the land. The episode became known as Guerra dos Pelados.
