Has everything really been said about the Algerian war? Although the archives are opening up, almost fifty years after the signing of the Evian Agreements (March 18, 1962), direct witnesses are beginning to disappear. They are, however, unique bearers of history, often the only ones able to illustrate the harsh reality of a long-hidden period. Gérard Zwang, surgeon of the contingent between May 1956 and June 1958, is one of these essential witnesses who help us discover an original history of the Algerian War. During his service, in charge of treating the most atrocious wounds of his fellow soldiers, he sees the war from the side of its victims. He did not fight with a machine pistol in his hand, but behind the closed doors of an operating room where life gives way to death in a matter of seconds.

Forgotten Wars, Forgotten Victims (2012) John Tsambazis Over the last 20 years, Africa has experienced some 15 devastating civil wars with over 20 million victims in death, injury or displacement. Yet the West has turned a blind eye. This documentary sheds light about the conflict and post conflict reconstruction in particular in West Africa , discussing issues such as child soldiers and the many damaged victims of war and how they have found support. Missionaries have played a vital role in the restoration and healing process of post war conflict. The documentary is narrated by the former Australian Rock Star Themi Adams, who once toured with the Rolling Stones and who now heads the Orthodox Mission in Sierra Leone. He talks about how his mission in particular is contributing to the recovery process.

Tuberculosis has been present in humans since antiquity. Skeletal remains show prehistoric humans had TB, and tubercular decay has been found in the spines of mummies from 3000-2400 BC. Though this deadly disease may have traumatic connotations that infected hordes of people dating back to the early 1900s, today it is on the comeback trail with a wicked vengeance infecting up to one-third of the world's population. In 1905, Robert Koch received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the discovery of the tubercle bacillus. When the Raja of Jhansi dies, the British place harsh conditions before letting the Raja's son, Gangadhar, take over the throne. Jhansi's Rajguru plans ahead by getting a young girl, Manu, from a neighbouring kingdom to marry Gangadhar, despite their age difference. Manu is anointed the Rani of Jhansi and her name is changed to Laxmibai (Kashish). She soon gets pregnant but the newborn child dies a few months later. Bereft, Gangadhar's health begins to fail. With no hope of a natural heir to the kingdom, Gangadhar and Laxmibai adopt a young boy, Diwakar. When Gangadhar dies, Laxmibai attempts to have Diwakar anointed the Raja. However, the British object and soon declare war on Jhansi. How Laxmibai joins forces with Tatya Tope and fights the British to death iforms the rest of the film.
