The Lake is a supernatural horror film inspired by the urban legend of Stone Lake - a place always shrouded in mysterious stories that young people often tell each other.

When 12-year-old Lauri tries too hard to get his older siblings’ attention he falls badly and loses his ability to walk. Now Lauri is stuck at home, lonelier than he ever was. Just then a helpful furry creature from another dimension appears and takes him on a fantasy adventure. In the other dimension Lauri trades his shadow for being able to walk again, but the shadow becomes a goofy, all-eating monster who follows Lauri back to his world. To beat the monster Lauri needs to team up with his siblings and give up his ability to walk. However, Lauri is now determined to learn to walk again and he has his siblings beside him - and that’s what really matters.

Aytal, a teenager with unusual abilities, becomes a real hero of the city. Gradually, he begins to become arrogant, use superpowers to achieve personal goals and eventually loses control over them. Having become arrogant, Aytal forgot about the importance of friendship and the support of his loyal comrades.

The crystal thief breaks into a castle with the intent of stealing it's precious green diamond.

This movie expresses deep expressionism of the 20th century through it`s visuals and audio. What Kafka wanted to express in a whole 50 page book, we here expressed in 30 seconds. The so called Gregor Samsa (Samsa is actually a playword-Kafka) lays himself to sleep, as he is supernaturally awoken, through pain and angst, as an insectoid. He can now only be engulfed by this horror and scream himself only to fall asleep yet again (forever).
