The 2026 adaptation of Le Fantôme de l'Opéra is directed by Alexandre Castagnetti and stars Deva Cassel, Julien De Saint-Jean, and Romain Duris. The film is set to release on September 23, 2026, and offers a fresh take on Gaston Leroux's classic novel. The story follows Anastasia, an 18-year-old ballet dancer at the Opéra Garnier, who becomes the obsession of a disfigured man living in the opera's underground labyrinth. The film is expected to blend romance, fantasy, and drama, with a modern cinematic approach inspired by Twilight.

Later, they are alerted of an asteroid on it's way to destroy Earth, the same asteroid that supposedly killed all the dinosaurs. Running out of time on Earth they spend their final moments enjoying life together, in which they make a key discovery into the idea of time travel.
