Fleeing persecution and torture in northern Iraq, three young Kurds, Mahmoud, Rezghar and Saman, smuggle themselves into Britain aboard a freight train. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, Shanwa's family of three lived peacefully in the Taihang Mountains. One day, Japanese soldiers built a artillery tower at the mountain pass, which worries Shanwa's family, their peaceful life was soon disrupted. The Japanese soldiers spotted Shanwa hunting and shot him. The bullet pierced one of his ears and almost killed him. This made the innocent Shanwa feel indignant and thus his need to vent out his anger. Ignoring his wife's dissuasion, he came to the opposite side of the blockhouse at dawn, shouted curses and fired shots in protest. This angered the Japanese soldiers in the artillery tower. They chased him into the mountains several times and finally found his home. The Japanese soldiers brutally killed his wife and child, but he managed to escape with his life. From then on, Shanwa with the help of his father launched a desperate battle against the Japanese soldiers.

Everyone remembers the harrowing footage of the Srebrenica massacre shot by Zoran Petrovic, the only cameraman to capture the events on film. But this week's fascinating documentary shows that the very worst of his pictures never reached our TV screens. Key scenes from Petrovic's rushes were 'lost' or blacked over, presumably to prevent reprisals. We unearth the lost images, and the completed jigsaw is even more heinous than the already blood-spattered picture. Amazingly, Petrovic has never been interviewed by the War Crimes Tribunal about what he saw. For the first time, his incriminating material is available for scrutiny.

The First Tale, "Goodbye Friend": Years after the Iran-Iraq war, a midnight, Moslem, a chemically poisoned veteran, decides to go to the Behesht-e Zahra. In Behesh-e Zahra, Moslem meets his martyred friends and rides around the city on a motorcycle with them. In the morning, his mother finds the Moslem’s dead body on his bed. The Second Tale, "The Momentary Rainbow": A film crew is filming the memorials of the war. Suddenly two Basij members demand the crew to listen to their memories of the war. The crew made an appointment for tomorrow but they don’t show up. The crew goes on a search to find them. They were martyrs. The Third Tale, "The Glass Flower": A young girl spends hours in the train station with a lantern and a bouquet of flowers. She is waiting to hand the flowers to one of the soldiers on their way to the war. Later, everyone finds out that she only hands her flowers to a soldier that will soon become a martyr.
