A Syrian actor and director, born in 1939. He initially studied at the Faculty of Medicine, then moved to the Faculty of Arts majoring in English Literature, before turning to the arts with the early beginnings of Syrian television and cinema.

He participated in several drama series, including Abu Kamel (1991), Al-Qasas (1996), and Beit Jidi (My Grandfather’s House) (2008). He gained widespread fame for his role in the series Asaad Al-Waraq (1975).

He also contributed to cinema with films such as The Border, and Wanted: One Man. As a director, he helmed all five parts of the series Hammam Al-Qishani.

By the time of his death in 2010, his body of work had exceeded 85 productions.
