Michael Ferguson (1937 - 2021) was a British director who worked primarily in television. He is best known for his work on such series as Doctor Who (serving as one of the few directors to work on three consecutive "eras" of the show, directing one William Hartnell serial, one Patrick Troughton serial, and two Jon Pertwee serials), Casualty, and EastEnders. Ferguson served as executive producer of the latter from 1989 to 1991, and is credited with revitalising the show.
