Writer/Director Lucas Kazan's use of music and sound effects helps subdue the film's hardcore sex, creating a truer sense of passion and desire between performers. Dreamlike, the film takes its time, never rushes from scene to scene, and lets the viewer enjoy the beautiful Riviera scenery, gorgeous men, and erotic tension.
