Summary

Raquel is desperate: a series of unfortunate events have led to her daughter being taken and she needs a large amount of money to get her back, and fast. After a desperate plea to the bank, she manages to secure the loan she needs. The problem is that precisely at that moment, a peculiar couple of robbers enter the branch: the drug-addicted Jonan and his partner Lola, who is a deadly combination of smart and psychotic. But Raquel’s stakes are too high, and she knows she must think carefully to outsmart them, save herself and get her money.

I'm not sure why the rating for 70 Big Ones is so modest because this is a really decent movie.

There's a clever symmetry to this tale of crime and love for family, that does require you pay attention. If you do, you will be rewarded with a reveal, that shows that things are not always as they seem and the lengths, even broken people will go to, to protect those they care about the most.

Acting is top notch, with a cast of actors, I'm familiar with from other series and films.

In summary, clever in its simplicity, engrossing and touching. Take a look, you wont be disappointed.
