Atomic scientist/pilot Doug Martin is missing after his plane crashes on an reconnaissance mission after a nuclear test. Miraculously appearing unhurt at the base later, he is given sodium amethol, but authorities are skeptical of his story that he was captured by aliens determined to conquer the Earth with giant monsters and insects. If this had any budget at all, they spent it all on boiling the eggs to use as the alien's eyes. Peter Graves ("Dr. Doug Martin") was later to prove that he did, indeed, have a sense of humour but it could hardly have been better exemplified than by his agreement to take part in this sci-fi yarn. Aliens - with a bit of a conscience - arrive on Earth from space determined to resettle it with their own billion-plus population. Snag for them is, they don't want blood on their hands/claws/pincers so they plan to cause ordinary insects and lizards to become giants so they can do their dirty work for them and eat humanity to extinction. It's now a race against time for the sceptical scientists to stop this fiendish plan. Yes it is every bit as bad as it sounds, the effects are poor and there is a serious surfeit of dialogue too.
