"Brandon L. Pennick's Sedalia is shrouded in mystery, horror, and a dark past. In the movie, we find retired costume designer Helen Rowan moving into a small farmhouse in the Massachusetts countryside. Her serene country life begins as she devotes herself to her daily activities, and finds peace in her new lifestyle. But things start to change as she feels a presence lurking around her home. Helen is instrumental in bringing peace back upon the land which is marked cursed. The movie shows how it is important to look at the past and solve unsolved issues. The movie is beautifully shot, the misty frames and the melancholic atmosphere adds to the plot. The movie is not heavy with events, rather it follows one string of events and utilizes its runtime fully. Lisa Crosthwait plays Helen Rowan. Her confident portrayal makes the movie more gripping."
